Every place I’ve stayed at has Wi-Fi, but it is secured and no one will give out passwords. They want you to plug in and pay some money while they watch you. At the latest guesthouse I attempted to break into the router by logging in with the default password, but that was changed too. I was hoping I could turn off the security so I could use the wireless from my room instead of paying $1+ an hour.

To remedy the situation, I changed to a new guesthouse today. More money yet at $8/night, but I gained toilet paper, a hot shower (but lost the TV), and free Wi-Fi after 7PM. Although I think the Dutch owner has something against Americans.

There are a few places here that offer free accommodation, but I haven’t tried it. I imagine they pressure you into buying a lot of drinks and food at their restaurants. Tomorrow I’m going to move over to the downtown area since everything is a little cheaper there and I think there are things like a supermarket there. I’m not really getting good use out of the beach here. It seems like everyone else is more relaxed than me.

Internet access hasn’t been ideal here in Cambodia.
