Today I went off on my own since Yu wanted to concentrate on getting some work done. We’ve been carrying over 20 books so she can do a little work for the school.
I visited the world famous Khao San Road, which is where all the young backpackers go to stay in the city. The entire street is closed off to vehicle traffic and there is a lot of activity around there. I also went to Wat Chana Songkram, which was very busy. I wanted to go to the National Museum, but it was closed today. I also visited Wat Rakhangkositaram, also very busy. I realized today wasn’t a good day to go around visiting these places, including the most famous place the Grand Palace. It seemed like everyone in Bangkok was out visiting the same places since it was a holiday. So I decided to take the bus back and save the rest for some other time.
