Day 215 – Sihanoukville, Cambodia

Spending the night in the dark hole of the $2/night room wasn’t too great. There was like a bar area right outside my window with music until about 4:30AM. At least the volume wasn’t too high. There was also motorcycle parking right next to my window so I could hear them come and go. And how can they price the room so cheap? They make it up with drinks. I bought a water bottle for $1.

I decided to upgrade to a more luxurious and quiet place. I ended up staying at a $7/night place called GST Guesthouse; I looked here the day before too. Once I got there a motorcycle driver wanted a commission, so he drove me for a few seconds to the entrance. Here I get a private bathroom with a flush toilet and cold shower. I also get a TV and a window with glass. Here if you buy the same water, it is 50 cents. A little better.

I was watching some TV today and it is fun to see Michigan all over the world news because of the election there. Most of the day I stayed inside my room. I’m kind of afraid to to go around outside too much. Every motorcycle driver is trying to sell me drugs.
