Day 225 – Siem Reap & Angkor, Cambodia

Today I made an agreement with the Chinese woman to share a Tuk-tuk to visit more of the area. After waking up by 6:30AM, we left at 6:50AM. The first stop was Preah Khan. This stone temple was inside a more forested area, which made it more interesting I think. There were piles of stones left where walls and towers fell and some trees invading the buildings.

We noticed most of the people visiting seemed to be Chinese. It is probably because Chinese New Year starts in about one week and also because there is a growing flood of Chinese going abroad.

After a couple hours we found our driver and drove to the next place, Neak Pean, a sort of big swimming pool. Then it was Ta Som. Then East Mebon and then Pre Rup (saw some bats flying inside one of the towers here). After that, Sras Srang and Banteay Kdei. At about 4:00PM we decided that was enough and headed back.
